The ladies, with a new look side including 5 debutantes, and missing a number of regular players, took on league above side Lutterworth on Sunday.
The ladies have had a short pre season this year so this game was vital for coaches Alex and Kate to see where the ladies are at before the league starts in September.

The game was an extremely close fought encounter with strong series of attacking plays and solid defensive work from both sides.
Often the tries were one for one until the closing 15 minutes when the Welsh pre season fitness work shone through and we were able to capitalise on the spaces in the Lutts defence.

The ladies league opener will be against Stoke on Trent based Longton ladies at home on Sunday 11th September.
